我是內蒙古巴彥淖爾市副市長岱慶格日樂。I am the deputy mayor of Bayan Nur, Inner Mongolia,Daiqing Geerle.
今天，十分榮幸向大家推介一個“不一樣的江南” Today, I am very honored to introduce a ";different Jiangnan";

【水靈靈的城市】
A Watery City
提到江南，When it comes to Jiangnan,
人們就會脫口而出：“江南水鄉”。 people will blurt out: ";Jiangnan Water Town.";
在黃河幾字灣頂端、At the top 幾 bay of the Yellow River,
祖國的正北方，the north of the motherland,
同樣有一座緣水而生的城市。there is also a city born of water.
相傳，當年康熙皇帝巡幸河套時發現，According to legend, when Emperor Kangxi visited Hetao,
這里“馬蹄走過的印跡里都能滲出水來”， he found that "; water could seep out of the footprints of the horseshoe";,
因而得名“巴彥淖爾”， hence has the name ";Bayan Nur";,
蒙語的意思就是“富饒的湖泊”。 which means ";rich lakes"; in Mongolian.
母親河自西向東橫貫全境，The mother river runs through the whole area from west to east,
300多個湖泊如繁星般撒落在黃河沿岸，and more than 300 lakes are scattered like stars along the Yellow River,
是名副其實的百湖之鄉、候鳥天堂，It is a veritable hometown of hundred lakes and paradise for migratory birds.
“塞外明珠”烏梁素海，Ulansuhai Nur ,";pearl beyond the Great Wall"; ,
是地球同一緯度最大濕地、is one of the largest wetland in the same latitude of the earth
中國八大淡水湖之一，and the top eight freshwater in China,
也是黃河生態安全的“自然之腎”。 and also the “natural kidney” of the Yellow River ecological security.
奔騰的黃河水在開闊的河套平原上放緩了腳步，The pentium water of Yellow River slowed down on the open Hetao Plain,
從秦漢開始，Starting from the Qin and Han Dynasties,
一代代勤勞智慧的河套兒女就開渠引水，generations of wisdom and hardworking people of Hetao set up channels to divert water,
挖出10萬多條渠溝, dig out more than 100,000 conduits,
年引黃河水50億立方米， divert 5 billion cubic meters water of theYellow River,
澆灌著1100多萬畝優質耕地，to irrigate more than 11 million mu of high-quality arable land,
成就了八百里河套米糧川，make 800 miles Hetao rich and fertile.
河套灌區是亞洲最大的一首制自流引水灌區， Hetao irrigation area is Asias largest artesian water diversion irrigation area,
